Vintage C.1930 Rosa Burger Pastel Pencil & Gouache Nude Portraits - a Pair

Description

Fabulous pair of vintage c.1930 pastel pencil and gouache drawings by the listed American artist Rosa Burger. Rosa was briefly in the WPA art movement until her passing in 1936. These sketches were made in 1930 and show what an incredible talent she had for capturing form and expression.

They measure 12 1/2" wide by 23 1/2" tall each, and are in very good vintage condition as shown in the photographs. The frames have some wear and tear as shown, along with some damage to the bottom back of one piece as shown, but the sketches themselves are in very good condition with no significant damage to note.
