19th Century, Meissen Porcelain Ram's Head & Floral Centerpiece

Description

A Meissen porcelain centerpiece of oval openwork construction, two floral windows oppose each of the main bodies of the piece and are flanked by a pair of beautiful ram's head handles connected with green laurel festoons and purple x loops. The exterior featuring gilt edges and loop decor having gilding and intricate porcelain work. The main bowl rests on an oval foot with matching sculptural festoons. Marked to the underside with a crossed sword underglaze mark.
