1945 Helen Levitt Silver Gelatin Portrait Photographs of James Agee - A Pair

Description

Two portrait photographs circa 1945 by Helen Levitt (1913-2009) Renowned American photographer of Pulitzer Prize winning author James Agee (1909-1955) writer and film critic. These unsigned photos were published in several books about James Agee, but were rarely printed. Larger photo is a silver gelatin print 6"L x 8.75"H was used for the cover of a Short Prose book by Agee , the other photo is quite small 1.75"L x 2"H and possibly cropped from the photographers contact sheet. Larger photo has edge and corner creasing.
