This Mid-20th century Turkish Anatolian rug, measuring 1' 6" x 2' 2", is a compact yet richly expressive piece of regional weaving art. Anatolian rugs are celebrated for their bold use of geometric motifs and this small-format example conveys that tradition with remarkable vibrancy. The field features two diagonally arranged diamond medallions, each enclosing a central rosette. The upper medallion appears in warm ochre and brown tones, while the lower displays cooler hues of ivory and soft grey, accented with touches of coral and yellow. These medallions float on a deep brown ground decorated with scattered angular motifs that lend an added sense of movement.
