Description
A striking vintage Korean black lacquer presentation or scholar's box featuring exceptionally detailed hand-cut mother-of-pearl inlay throughout, including not only the figural crane and pine motifs, but also the intricate geometric key-pattern borders and woven corner panels.
The lid displays a graceful landscape scene with cranes in flight among stylized clouds and blossoming branches, executed in luminous abalone shell with remarkable precision and iridescence.
