ANDREWS Company of Chicago. The set consists of one bistro table and two matching "sweetheart" back chairs. It features its original rare "Japanned oxidized copper finish" on heavy-gauge, twisted wrought steel rods. The circular tabletop and floating chair are crafted from premium hand-planed quarter-sawn oak. The wood shows beautiful medullary ray fleck patterns and authentic historic mill tool marks. The table and chairs are engineered with the perimeter steel tension ring that allows the hand-planed wood to sit elegantly above the frame. Hardware: Stamped with the highly coveted "A.H." Manufacture headmark on the structural leg bolts. Construction" Features authentic, primitive hand-struck forge-welded joints and early industrial circular metal hoop feet designed to protect the parlor floors.A.H. Andrews was famous for casting and stamping their proprietary hardware right in their Chicago foundry. A.H. Original lag bolts are incredibly RARE, as most sets lost their original fasteners ton rust or restorations over the last 130 years.
