Description
Mid-Century French Maison Baguès Glass Top Faux Bamboo Wood and Brass Side Table
The legs and horizontal base supports are made of segments of wood separated by brass which gives it the faux bamboo appearance. The three metal rectangular supports at the top are of brass. The finials on top at each corner are of brass and unscrew to make the 1/2" glass removable.
Crafted in France circa 1950, and attributed to Maison Baguès in Paris, this elegant brass and wood table is both useful and stylish. The faux bamboo table exudes elegance and sophistication; dressed with a sleek clear glass top, the table is framed with meticulously crafted faux bamboo. The faux bamboo legs and supports, characteristic of the Maison Bagues style, add a touch of exotic charm, making it a standout piece. The table's reflective glass surface contrasts beautifully with the gold frame, enhancing its visual appeal. The table embodies the timeless craftsmanship and refined aesthetic of mid-century French design. The occasional table is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorn a rich and rubbed patinated gilt finish.
