Description
An unusual two-tiered tri-angular shaped corner table very much in the style of Maison Jansen. Of maple with a lovely blonde colored finish, this neo-classical table is smartly accented with black lacquered turned legs that are tapered and fluted, terminating in cast brass foliate motif sabots; gold leaf trim throughout complements both the mellow color of the maple and the black lacquer of the supporting legs. A very smart and uniquely designed table that can live easily in any decor.
This table was purchased for display in our high-end interior design furniture showroom and was never sold and remained on the showroom floor. Though we are not sure by whom the table was made, it is demonstrably the work of an expert cabinet making shop. We estimate this to have been made sometime in the mid-20th century in France.
The table is in excellent condition. Any small scratches or imperfections are consistent with age.
The tri-angular table is complicated to measure, but here it goes: The width between the legs at the widest point of the tri-angle 42.5" ; the short legs of the tri-angle are 31" each; the height is 20.5" and the depth to the center of the curve is 17.25". The height between the shelves is 9.25"
