Description
Fabulous antique late 19th century (possibly as late as 1910) architectural salvage sign of Dr. R.H. Kendall, Osteopath! Wonderful piece, great patina, with gold leafing on a black background, hand painted on a tin back, with it's original wood on the reverse of that.
It can be displayed on a bookcase or table top, leaning as shown, or could apply a couple picture hangers to the wood on the back to secure it to the wall if you prefer.
It measures 24" wide, 11" tall and 1" deep. It is in good overall condition as you can see in the photographs, does have plenty of wear and tear from the decades of use and display outside. The wood is fairly soft in places as you'd expect, and there is some paint loss. The entire piece has been clear coated in several coats of a satin lacquer to protect the paint from further loss and add a nice even mild sheen over the entire thing.
Condition:
Alterations: Original Condition Unaltered
Imperfections: Some Imperfections
