This reverse glass painting made around 1900 is a striking depiction of the battle between the Eight Immortals and the Dragon King of the East Sea from the popular tale. Four of the eight are represented here.

It is a large piece measuring 34 by 27 inches. The colors are vivid, the composition is unique for the subject and it is intoxicating.
An exceptional piece with few imperfections.
