Early 19th Century Regency Carved Giltwood Bullseye Convex Mirror. Mirror features a circular frame with a classical reeded profile in warm gilt with a contrasting black inner slip, accentuating the convex glass. The convex glass magnified and reflected light within an interior. These mirrors were prized for their ability to brighten rooms and offer a panoramic reflection. Their use of gilding and bold forms reflected the neoclassical influences popular at the time.
In today's interiors, a convex mirror can be used as a statement piece above a mantel, entryway console, or incorporated into a gallery wall. Perfect for both traditional and modern interiors, this mirror brings historic charm while remaining highly functional.
