Beautifully carved and paint decorated 19th/19th C. decorative wood carving.

Likely from a carriage or conveyance, and highly detailed as if for a royal or noble house.

Solid wood, with a patinated finish of aged royal blue paint and a touch of palace red.

An equestrian bust, with a decorated mane, detailed tack and the stature of a prized thoroughbred.

13" tall, museum stand mounted on a 5" by 5" square 20th C. Metal Base. Solid and certain.

From an exceptional and well-travelled Virginia family with a legacy in the State Department.
