Circa 1925 Moorcroft "Moonlit Blue" ceramic & pewter compote bowl, England. Arts & Crafts period, made for Liberty's. Large tree with stylized landscape in a deep blue background. The trees encircle the outside of the bowl. Handraised pewter pedestal base. Signed: H, Made in England, Tudric, Moorcroft, 01312. Scratch marks: 525-29 SH. Light signs of use holding fruit, etc. Provenance: Sylvia Powell Decorative Arts, London, 1998 to Dr. John Fryer, London & Chapel Hill. 9.25" dia., 4 3/8" d.
