Beautiful Eagle Head Sword

Size: Blade is double sided 30? and sword is 36? overall length

Description: Circa 1830. Absolutely beautiful eagle straight blade sword. Blade is double sided 30? and sword is 36? overall length. Blade has beautiful blue and gilt with patriotic themes. Hilt has straight spiraled quillions, and a beautifully contoured eagle head pommel. Hilt is made of gilded brass. The grip is carved checkered ivory with a small chip near the eagle?s throat. A chain runs from the eagle?s mouth to the quillion. The scabbard is gilded brass and is etched. This is a top notch example of a eagle head straight blade sword!
