Acetate measuring approximately 10" x 10" and in fine condition. Acetate discs were produced in extremely limited numbers for internal mastering and label review, with very few surviving beyond their intended use. Released as the fourth single from Prince's acclaimed Around the World in a Day album, "Pop Life" became one of the standout tracks of his post-Purple Rain era, reaching the Top 10 in multiple countries. This original Warner Bros. acetate offers a fascinating glimpse into the production process behind one of Prince's most distinctive mid-1980s recordings and would make an outstanding addition to any serious Prince collection.
