Acetate measuring approximately 12" x 12" and in fine condition. Acetate discs were produced in extremely limited numbers for internal mastering and label review, with very few surviving beyond their intended use. Released as the final single from Madonna's blockbuster Like a Virgin album, "Dress You Up" became one of her signature hits of the 1980s, reaching the Top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and helping cement her status as a global pop superstar. This original Masterdisk acetate represents an early production-stage artifact from one of Madonna's most recognizable recordings and would make an exceptional addition to any collection dedicated to the Queen of Pop.
