Vintage 1930's ALP Lidkoping Porcelain dessert and demitasse service for (8) designed by Swedish artist Einar Forseth (1892-1988). The striking crane and wetlands pattern was hand painted in black and gold on white porcelain with maker's mark underneath. Numerous pieces are signed by the artist. Several items with this pattern are on the National museum website in Stockholm showcasing Einar Forseth's work at Lidkoping . Set includes (8) cups measuring 2 1/4"T X 3 3/4"W at handle, (8) saucers at 5 1/4"D, (8) dessert plates at 7"D, (1) creamer 3 3/4"T X 3 1/2" at handle, (1) sugar bowl with lid 5 1/4"T X 5 3/4"W at handle and a coffee pot with lid 9 3/4"T X 7 1/4"W at handle. In very good vintage condition. Overall glaze, pattern and trim is bright and complete. Imperfections noted include slight wear, light fading to some trim, minor staining and several pieces with scuffing underneath from shelf storage.
