About the Artist
Victor Salmones was one of the foremost figures of 20th-century Mexican sculpture. Trained at Mexico City's prestigious Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes under the tutelage of sculptor Jorge de la Peña Beltrán, Salmones developed a unique sculptural language that fused modern abstraction with deeply human themes of love, unity, and transformation.
Throughout his career, Salmones earned both national and international acclaim. His monumental bronzes have been exhibited and installed in Mexico, the United States, Europe, and the Middle East, including prominent public commissions in Houston, Mexico City, and Acapulco. His work is held in important private and institutional collections worldwide.
