This is an authentic antique Bradley & Hubbard (B&H) oil lamp, later professionally electrified, dating to the late 19th century (circa 1889–1890). The lamp features a richly detailed cast metal base with classical relief decoration and its original oil reservoir form, now adapted for safe modern electrical use.
The lamp is crowned with a beautiful hand-painted pink opaline glass globe, decorated with soft floral motifs and fitted with a clear glass chimney. The metal collar and burner area are clearly stamped "B&H No. 89" and bear multiple patent dates including July 15, 1890 and March 27 & April 17, 1888, confirming its Bradley & Hubbard manufacture.
Bradley & Hubbard was one of the most respected American lighting manufacturers of the late Victorian era, known for superior casting quality and refined decorative design. Electrified examples like this are especially desirable, offering antique character with modern usability.
