Franklin, Manchester The case sumounted by a turned finial over a fluted caddy top with further moulded detailing around the edge, the front with applied carved decoration to the ogee shaped door flanked by glazed observation windows, terminating in a moulded base and raised on four turned wooden feet, the 4 inch silvered brass dial with black Roman numerals and blue steel hands framed by floral engraving and signed to the lower section J. Franklin, Manchester, the single fusee movement with an anchor escapement and pendulum, currently ticking 32cms (12.5ins) high.
