Antique late 19th century Japanese iron mounted tansu or suzuribako calligraphy writing box. Push button lid lock (you have to fiddle with it a bit to open), small drawers are 2.5" square outside dimensions, no key, overall wear, patina, scratches, minor chips, stains, some nails loose.
