Description
A striking early 20th-century Chinese sang de boeuf vase, richly glazed in a deep oxblood red with subtle tonal variation and natural craquelure throughout. This classic form features a flared lip and broad shoulders, showcasing the flowing translucence of the red-over-white glaze as it pools along the interior.
The unglazed foot and hand-thrown concentric rings suggest Republic period (Early 1900's) production. A refined yet rustic statement piece, perfect for bookshelf styling, entryway consoles, or as a sculptural focal point in modern interiors.
It measures 12 1/2" in height and approx. 8 1/2" in diameter at it's widest point. It is in very good overall condition as shown in the photographs, the main thing to note is the hairline crack on the bottom of the piece as shown from the inside and bottom. It does not affect the use or stability of the piece.
