Lighthouse rises from grassy bluffs above surf with outbuildings under overcast sky, signed and dated lower left "Mary L. McCormick '93."

Precise brushwork captures Long Island's rugged coast with atmospheric perspective; painted during Shinnecock Hills art colony era when regional lighthouses drew amateur landscapists.

Original mahogany frame with gilt liner.

Sight: 18 by 11 Â¾ inches; frame: 21 Â¼ by 15 Â¼ inches.
