Great Vetro Incamiciato Glass Plate Murano 1930s
A 'Vetro Incamiciato' art glass plate made of opaque white and yellow glass with an overlay of clear glass and applied aventurine glass rings on the base and rim. The base consists of six applied incamiciato glass threads. Probably made by Venini, Murano in the 1930s. In incamiciato glass, lattimo (milky) glass is overlaid with layers of colored and transparent glass. This technique was mainly used in the 1920s and 1930s by Venini, Fratelli Toso and Barovier.
