Offered is a vintage bow back Windsor rocking chair made by the company of Fredrick Duckloe & Brothers out of Portland Pennsylvania. The company produced quality Windsor chairs from 1859 to its closing in October of 2021 due to Covid. The rocking chair is a continous arm bow back style Windsor chair. It is constructed of solid cherry and oak. Duckloe Windsor chairs have always been highly sought after for their style and quality construction. There are no screws or mechanical fasteners used in their construction. This rocker is assembled using only glue and split spindles and wedges as were used over 150 years ago. The seat is carved out to be ergonomically comfortable to sit in without the use of cushions. Since they are no longer in production the only place to find Duckloe chairs today is on the secondary market. This chair is from an estate in Bethlehem Pennsylvania. It was well taken care of and is in beautiful condition. It does have one rocker tip that has been chewed on by a pet. This is shown in the pictures. As with all preowned furniture it does have some light wear marks and signs of use commensurate with use and age. It is sturdy and with care should provide generations of use for your home and family. Please look carefully at the pictures as they are an important part of the description.
