This intricately carved head was once part of a larger temple sculpture and retains a remarkable presence despite its small scale. The serene expression, tiered crown, and large circular earrings are characteristic of Himalayan depictions of divine figures, particularly Vishnu.
Carved from dark stone and mounted on a modern black wood base, the piece shows a heavily weathered surface and worn edges that speak to centuries of exposure. The head is affixed to the stand at a central pivot point. While it swivels slightly, it remains secure and stable for display.
