Antique Shielfield Plate swing handle basket. A heavy body and solid construction of the basket.
The piece dates circa 1850, though no marks are seen. The measurements are 11" in diameter and 3" tall to the rim. The handle rises 8". Lovelu Beaux Arts design and of the period.
