Description
Set of six large coin silver tablespoons by G.O. Conrad, mid-19th century. Handsome fiddle pattern with well pointed tips and script monogram "MFH." Made by George Oliver Conrad (1823-1907), primarily operating in Harrisonburg, VA. Bear and Conrad partnership 1846-47 and 1848-51; Conrad, Gordon and Bear 1856-57; Conrad and Martz 1857-58. "G.O. Conrad" mark and gryphon over a pendant within a shield mark. Two each with a minor dent.
