A beautiful antique kang table in the traditional Ming Dynasty style. It is made of solid wood with a mitered top, and decorative scalloped details on the apron. You can see the hardwood construction in the photo of the underside. It is incredibly sturdy and solid. It is also signed in Chinese lettering underneath. It has a brown lacquer finish with a leather-like texture. Lots of overall patina from age adding to its natural beauty. In ancient China, the low kang table served many uses around the home including a seat, a sewing desk and a dining table. What a great piece of functional history to add to your decor!
