He received a third-class medal in 1885, a silver medal at the 1889 Paris Exposition Universelle, and a gold medal at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago, where his works 'Vanity' and 'The Annunciation' were exhibited.

Agache was appointed a Knight of the French Legion of Honour in 1899 and was promoted to Officer in 1910.
