Early 19th Century French Pot Pourri Lion Head Tole Canister Lamp

Rare early 19th Century cylindrical pot pourri canister tin in sheet metal decorated with gilt lion heads and hand painted gold designs of quivers of arrows in floral wreaths on a black background. There are painted foliate designs on the base. Later mounted as a lamp. In antique condition with some wear to finish. Very heavy, weighing 12 lbs. Lamp measures 33.5" high to the top of the finial and 7.5" wide.
