Description
A vibrant French Aubusson tapestry titled Concert Champêtre ("Pastoral Concert"), designed by Simon Chaye and handwoven by the renowned Atelier P. Legoueix of Aubusson. The composition depicts a lyrical arrangement of musical instruments, flowering foliage, and songbirds rendered in a richly colored mid-century modern palette of gold, rose, ochre, gray, and black. Combining traditional Aubusson craftsmanship with contemporary artistic design, the tapestry is signed in the weave lower right and retains its original workshop label verso. An exceptional decorative textile well suited to both traditional and modern interiors. France, mid-20th century. Dimensions: 3'9" W x 5'3" H (120 x 160 cm).
