Original lithographic advertising poster by André Wilquin (1899–2000), signed in the plate. The composition depicts a couple seen from behind "” her golden chignon against his black-lacquered hair "” above bold tricolor typography in jet black, vibrant red and emerald green.

Wilquin was a French illustrator whose Pétrole Hahn series remains his most collectible work and a benchmark of the Art Deco commercial poster.

Pétrole Hahn was founded in 1885 by pharmacist Charles Hahn. The brand reached peak cultural prominence during the interwar years through ambitious advertising campaigns "” this poster is a surviving artifact of that era. Pétrole Hahn products exist today.

Hinge-mounted, acid-free double mat, non-reflective UV-protective plexiglass, Italian solid wood moulding. Ready to hang.
