This marvelous antique soup or punch ladle is created in gorgeous sterling silver in the WCW3 pattern by London silversmith, William Chawner II. This very large sized oval shaped ladle has a curve tip at the top of the fiddle shaped handle. Hallmarks are: WC=William Chawner II, Rampant lion=English sterling, Leopard head without crown=London, Date letter r=1832, Regent assay profile facing R. Measurements for this fabulous creation are: Length top to bottom=13 inches, Width of bowl=4 inches, Depth of bowl=1-3/4 inches, Weight=8.36 Troy ounces. This marvelous sterling silver ladle has been well cared for, gently used and is in excellent antique condition, free from cracks or repairs. There is an engraved script "E" on the tip of the handle. It is the perfect addition to your dining service and can be used with many different patterns, particularly if you like the Regency style!
