Antique Handforged Cattle Bell Made in Switzerland ca. 1900s
An antique handforged cattle bell, made in Switzerland around 1900. The bell comes with its original brown leather strap with buckle and copper plate which features the name of the former owner. Bells like this are still used today to locate cows, goats and sheep on the high pastures. The animals wear them around their necks so that the owners can easily find them in the alpine landscape. Good condition with a beautiful patinated surface. An authentic antique piece that will make a great addition for your decoration and creates a Swiss countryside lifestyle feeling. On the base with crack (does not affect the sound) - see pictures.
