The ArtCraft cachet features a portrait of President Kennedy alongside the 1964 JFK 5¢ memorial stamp issue. Postmarked November 22, 1964, in New York City during the National Postage Stamp Show, with a pair of JFK memorial stamps affixed.

Andrew Minihan served as Mayor of New Ross, County Wexford, Ireland, during the Kennedy era. New Ross held special significance to President Kennedy, whose maternal ancestors emigrated from the town to the United States in the 19th century. Kennedy’s 1963 visit to New Ross became one of the most celebrated moments of his trip to Ireland and remains an enduring symbol of his Irish heritage.
