Details:
Robert J. Donovan autographed 6.25” x 3.5” card featuring a commemorative John F. Kennedy design with a portrait medallion and White House vignette printed in blue. Donovan has signed prominently in blue ink across the lower center of the card.
Donovan was among the most respected Washington journalists and presidential historians of the twentieth century. He is perhaps best remembered for his landmark two-volume biography of President John F. Kennedy, PT-109: John F. Kennedy in World War II and Tumultuous Years: The Presidency of John F. Kennedy, works that helped shape the historical understanding of Kennedy’s life, wartime service, and administration. His close access to political leaders and firsthand reporting made his writings essential sources for scholars of the Kennedy era.
Because of his extensive work chronicling Kennedy’s career and presidency, Donovan’s autograph is particularly desirable for collectors of JFK and modern presidential history. Signed material from prominent Kennedy biographers and contemporaries remains increasingly difficult to locate.
Fine condition with light expected handling wear.
