Details:
Joseph P. Kennedy II autographed one-page handwritten letter on personal stationery addressed to “Dear Ben,” accompanied by its original mailing envelope addressed to Benjamin A. Smith II at his Gloucester, Massachusetts residence. In the warmly worded letter, Kennedy expresses gratitude to Smith for taking the time to discuss his future plans and offer personal guidance and encouragement during an important period in his life.
The letter reads in part:
“Dear Ben,
I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your taking time to help me get started. It’s so reassuring to know that I have friends like you who will take time from a very busy schedule to not only talk over with me the different options for the future but will also help plan to make or at least help me to think through the options and come up with a concrete plan for the future. I know these decisions cannot be made in a day but really appreciate your time and judgment.
Thanks,
Joe”
