Earl Warren Family Christmas Card, an original illustrated holiday greeting card measuring approximately 10.75 x 7.5 inches when opened, produced by the Warren family during the mid-to-late 1940s. The whimsical card features an elaborate marionette-themed Christmas scene depicting members of the Warren family as puppets on a stage, accompanied by their family pets and personalized captions identifying each participant.
The charming design is titled “A Merrio-net Christmas” and presents future Chief Justice Earl Warren alongside his wife Nina Warren and their children in a playful theatrical holiday tableau. Created with a distinctive mid-century artistic style, the card reflects the warm, personal nature of family-produced Christmas greetings among prominent American public figures during the postwar era. The reverse contains the family’s holiday message and seasonal greetings.
