Judge Joe Brown (1937–2024) served as a Dallas County judge and became closely associated with the legal proceedings involving Jack Ruby following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Ruby fatally shot Lee Harvey Oswald in the basement of Dallas Police Headquarters on November 24, 1963, an event witnessed live on television by millions.
