The ArtCraft cachet cover commemorates the 1964 JFK 5¢ memorial stamp issue and features a portrait of President Kennedy above a memorial inscription and inaugural quotation. Postmarked May 29, 1964, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Paul E. Landis served as a United States Secret Service agent assigned to First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy during the Kennedy administration. He was riding in the follow-up Secret Service vehicle directly behind President Kennedy’s limousine during the assassination in Dealey Plaza on November 22, 1963. Landis later became a notable firsthand witness connected to the assassination and published recollections of the event decades later.
