Details:
Buell Wesley Frazier autographed pair of assassination-related reproductions consisting of an 8.5 x 12” facsimile reprint of an original UPI news teletype bulletin reporting the shooting of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, and an 8.5 x 11” facsimile reprint of a Dallas Police Department Supplementary Offense Report dated November 25, 1963. Both items have been hand signed by Frazier.
Slight wrinkling on each, teletype folded at center.
The UPI teletype captures the earliest breaking reports from Dallas as news agencies attempted to relay details of the shooting in real time. The text includes dramatic contemporary reporting from Dealey Plaza and Parkland Hospital, reflecting the confusion and uncertainty that surrounded the assassination during its first moments. The accompanying Dallas Police report documents investigative efforts involving Frazier and his sister, Linnie Mae Randle, whose observations regarding Lee Harvey Oswald and the package he carried to work became a significant part of the official investigation.
Buell Wesley Frazier was a coworker of Lee Harvey Oswald at the Texas School Book Depository and is one of the most important surviving witnesses connected to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. On the morning of November 22, 1963, Frazier drove Oswald to work and later provided testimony regarding Oswald’s movements and the package he carried that day. His account remains a central component of the historical record surrounding one of the most extensively investigated events in American history.
