David Ferrie (1918–1967) was a former airline pilot, anti-Castro activist, and controversial figure who became one of the central subjects of New Orleans District Attorney Jim Garrison’s investigation into the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. Ferrie had known Lee Harvey Oswald and was repeatedly questioned regarding possible connections to anti-Castro activities and alleged conspiracy theories surrounding the assassination. His sudden death in February 1967, just days after renewed public attention from Garrison’s investigation, generated significant speculation and has remained a subject of debate among researchers and historians examining the Kennedy case.
