Kennedy’s remarks before the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce at the Texas Hotel in Fort Worth, Texas. Near fine condition.
This historic three-page release captures one of the last speeches Kennedy delivered during his final day in office. Addressing local political leaders, business executives, and citizens of Fort Worth, Kennedy reflected upon national defense, economic growth, and America’s role in the Cold War. The speech includes several memorable and often-quoted passages, including his humorous observation that Texans must be “so thin” from repeatedly standing to greet visitors and his remarks regarding national security and American technological leadership. Following the breakfast event, Kennedy traveled to Dallas where he would be assassinated only hours later.
