A remarkable personal guest book from the collection of legendary fashion designer Oleg Cassini, containing hundreds of signatures, inscriptions, original sketches, and whimsical illustrations accumulated over years of entertaining friends, colleagues, members of the fashion industry, journalists, and notable public figures. More than simply a guest register, the volume evolved into a living scrapbook reflecting the vibrant social and creative world that surrounded one of the twentieth century’s most celebrated designers.

The book is filled with hundreds of handwritten signatures and notations, with an initial review identifying Senator Ted Kennedy among the signers, alongside numerous fashion editors, journalists, retailers, designers, socialites, and other guests whose identities remain to be fully researched. Given the sheer volume of signatures, it is highly likely that additional notable names remain to be discovered.

Adding considerably to its appeal are numerous original fashion sketches, caricatures, doodles, and playful artistic additions scattered throughout the pages. Several drawings appear to have been created during social gatherings, while others may have been executed by Oleg Cassini himself, though individual attributions remain uncertain.

The guest book also serves as an important documentary record of Cassini’s professional and personal network during the height of his career, when he was internationally recognized as the principal couturier to First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy. 

The spine is largely broken, and the back cover is detached from the text block. Pages exhibit expected toning, handling wear, creasing, scattered staining, and occasional edge wear, while the binding remains fragile.
