M. Nick McDonald autograph trio including a signed 8 x 10” photograph of McDonald holding Lee Harvey Oswald’s .38 pistol, boldly inscribed in blue ink, “Officer M. Nick McDonald – Captain of Oswald – 11-22-63.” Accompanied by an autograph letter signed (ALS) on his personal letterhead discussing President Gerald R. Ford and enclosing the photograph. Also included is a facsimile copy of a Gerald R. Ford letter referencing the Warren Commission’s conclusions; the Ford signature is printed (facsimile), not hand-signed. McDonald has additionally signed the Ford letter copy with inscription referencing his role in Oswald’s arrest.

M. Nick McDonald (1927–2002) was a Dallas police officer best known for arresting Lee Harvey Oswald at the Texas Theatre on November 22, 1963, shortly after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. His confrontation with Oswald and subsequent testimony before the Warren Commission placed him directly at the center of one of the most significant events in American history. McDonald later became a sought-after speaker and signer of assassination-related memorabilia. His autograph remains closely associated with the events of that day in Dallas.
