Jack Brooks autographed 1960 Democratic National Convention Acceptance Speech Program ticket in black ink. The ticket granted general admission to the Democratic National Convention acceptance speech held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Friday, July 15, 1960, where Senator John F. Kennedy formally accepted the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. The colorful ticket features patriotic red and blue printing with detailed convention design elements.

Jack Brooks (1922–2012) was a longtime United States Congressman from Texas who served in the House of Representatives from 1953 to 1995. Brooks was traveling in the Dallas motorcade on November 22, 1963, several cars behind President Kennedy’s limousine during the assassination. Following the shooting, Brooks accompanied other officials to Parkland Hospital and later flew back to Washington aboard Air Force One. He became one of the last surviving elected officials who witnessed events surrounding the assassination firsthand.
