Hurchel D. Jacks autographed John F. Kennedy memorial First Day of Issue cover in blue ink. The ArtCraft cachet cover commemorates the 1964 JFK 5¢ memorial stamp issue and features a portrait of President Kennedy above a memorial inscription and inaugural quotation. Postmarked November 22, 1964, in New York City during the National Postage Stamp Show.

Provenance: From the collection of Edward Krohn, author of the “John F. Kennedy Cover Catalog,” to whom the signed card is inscribed.
Hurchel D. Jacks served as a Secret Service agent and was one of the drivers assigned to the vice presidential motorcade vehicle carrying Lyndon B. Johnson during President John F. Kennedy’s visit to Dallas on November 22, 1963. Following the assassination in Dealey Plaza, Jacks participated in the rapid evacuation of Vice President Johnson from the scene and was part of the motorcade that proceeded to Love Field before departing aboard Air Force One.
