Details:
John F. Kennedy vintage 7-inch 45 RPM memorial record, titled “The Voice of President John F. Kennedy,” featuring highlights from his Democratic National Convention nomination acceptance speech, his Inaugural Address, and The Oath of Office. Issued shortly after Kennedy’s assassination, this record preserves some of the most iconic spoken moments of his presidency in original period audio format.
The record is housed in its original illustrated picture sleeve, prominently featuring Kennedy’s portrait on the front with patriotic design elements. The vinyl retains a clean appearance with visible grooves and original center label identifying the release as a Golden Records memorial issue. The sleeve shows light handling wear consistent with age, including minor edge and surface wear, but remains visually strong and fully intact.
Near fine condition.
John F. Kennedy (1917–1963) served as the 35th President of the United States and remains one of the most influential and studied figures in American history. His speeches—particularly the Inaugural Address delivered on January 20, 1961—defined a generation and continue to resonate for their call to public service, Cold War resolve, and aspirational vision of American leadership.
Memorial audio releases such as this were produced in the immediate aftermath of Kennedy’s assassination and served as both tributes and historical records, allowing the public to hear the President’s voice during a moment of national mourning.
