John F. Kennedy White House “The President’s Engagements” memo sheet dated Monday, November 4, 1963, measuring approximately 5.75 x 9.25 inches. Printed on official White House memorandum stationery, the sheet records one of President Kennedy’s scheduled appointments during the final month of his presidency.
The memo notes a 12:00 p.m. meeting with Governor Elbert N. Carvel of Delaware, Governor J. Millard Tawes of Maryland, and Senator Daniel B. Brewster of Maryland. Prepared less than three weeks before President Kennedy’s assassination, the document offers a glimpse into the daily scheduling operations of the Kennedy White House and the routine conduct of presidential business during the closing weeks of his administration.
